Grand Riverview Hotel, Kota Bharu

Receptionist was friendly in the beginning, but after a few repeated questions, (how was I to know there was a perbandaran tax that you had to pay in cash and it can't be included in your credit card bill??) she started to turn sour.

Bad:
The room was only given 1 key card. It's a 4 star hotel. If the occupancy is for 2 people, then you should give 2 cards. No questions asked.

Kalau member tu nak keluar pastu balik tengah2 malam, takkan nak kena berjaga sepanjang masa tunggu (which actually happened). Kedekut sangat card bilik baik upgrade kepada digital door lock. Bilik dibayar beratus..bukan free.

Key card was hard to activate. Tak boleh insert sampai bawah, kena naikkan sikit baru on lampu. (After a few attempts) Again.. How were we supposed to know that trick? Lain kali bagi tau masa kat reception counter.

Karpet ada sedikit berdebu. Perlu vacuum lebih sikit. Siap ada print seterika lagi..

Selimut tak berapa wangi. Mungkin recyle tak cuci. Mungkin.

Remote air cond manual kat jam sebelah katil. Try and error sebab tulisan dah tak nampak.

Toiletries dan cawan toothbrush semua mcm untuk kegunaan seorang. Padahal bayar untuk 2 katil. Nasib baik towel tak suruh kongsi satu.

Good:
Bilik luas.
Ada iron n iron board.
Signal TV terang.
Bathroom ada tub dan shower asing.
Bilik 408 menghadap sungai.
Kiblat dan sejadah.

Pantai Timun

Riverside Majestic Astana Wing

Hotel ni satu nama dengan Riverside Majestic Hotel Kuching, tapi yang Astana Wing kena check in reception counter lain. Kira hotel lain lah ni.. kalau tersalah masuk lobi Riverside, kena keluar jalan sikit ke sebelah. Dalam 2 minit.

Yang OK:

Bilik katil king nampak view sungai, rm250 satu malam. Ada sofa.
Ada basic necessities (sabun, syampu, lotion), takde berus gigi
Bathrobe, iron, arah kiblat kat siling, sejadah, showercap dia siap bagi getah pengikat rambut (ni kagum), ada penimbang berat badan, air minuman, sanitary bag.
View tingkap nampak sungai cantik. Atas tu gambar dari aras 7.

Tak OK:

No laundry bag.
No shower gel. Just sabun buku.
Toilet jenis bidet. No hose.
Shower susah adjust temperature. Pusing kanan kiri pun jadi panas.
Contraption nak tukar shower ke shower besar - failed. Susah gila..tak macam Klagan, just tekan punat.

Neutral:

Lantai kayu (parket?), bukan karpet.
Shower ada glass door.

Hydra C Treatment Review

This is not a post to downgrade or cause any emotional or financial damages to anyone. This is what happened. This is what I'll write.

Alkisah.. aku pergi Midvalley Megamall pd 8 Julai 2017. Ada Beauty Fair. Jalan-jalan ada sekumpulan gadis-gadis promoter offer free facial treatment. Time tu syaratnya kena tunggu Birthday month dan kena bagi account social media korang. Birthday aku bulan Januari. Maka tunggulah selama 5 bulan simpan Birthday Gift Voucher FREE One (1) Hydra C Treatment dalam purse. 

5 months later...

I called the above Skin Clinic. Masa ni, hari Sabtu. Diorng kata full so diorng akan call balik. Ok. Tunggu2 tak call pun. So aku pun pergi redah je.. sebab mmg nak keluar jalan2 pun haritu. 

Sampai sana, receptionist kata Hydra C Treatment dah takde. So propose tukar Oxygen Peel. Aku setuju. Sebab mmg datang tanpa perasaan pun. Because I had NO high expectations regarding this free treatment.

Several days later.. receptionist call. This is where it gets interesting. She said I have to pay rm30 for registration fees in order to claim this Free facial treatment. Unless if I proceed with their rm200+ treatment, the rm30 shall be waived. 

Senang cerita.. this so-called free hydra c treatment ni sebenarnya tak free pun. I canceled the appointment coz I felt lied to. I kept that dumb voucher for 5 months for nothing. Of course, there's no such thing as a free whatever. I know that. And this situation only strengthens that statement.

Sure. They even put a *T&C Apply* at the corner of the card. Which I think is a complete joke. Coz they said the voucher only applies on week-days. Fine. No week-ends. Then they said no more Hydra C Treatment. Fine. Replace it with Oxygen Peel. BUT the moment you talk about payment, you're only asking to be sweared at. Don't you know that Malaysians don't like to be lied to?

Just.. cakap jelah depan2 if kena bayar. No need to auta kata registration fees or something. Time aku dtg clinic utk buat appointment pun diorng tak inform tentang 'fees' ni. Pfft.. marketing sangatt. Agak predictable though. Actually, if all went well, I would've considered buying a facial mask or something. 

Its NOT free if you have to pay.. even if you say it's for registration fees or what not.

So.. that's it. My Hydra C treatment review.
