Dad, where are we going? #14

arrghh..this show just gets cuter and cuter every time!!

at the beginning of the episode, the production team gave each child a letter written by their mothers after they had a busy day of planting trees, hectically searched for ingredients at the market, and filled their bellies with an awesome dinner. i totally love this part coz each mother wrote exactly what the dads did or did not do. there are several favourite scenes of mine that i'd like to share. Like how Jiahs' mom told her husband not to carry Jiah around and let her walk by herself where in fact, he already committed the crime moments before. since that was the case, Jiah asked whether she could ask her oppas to carry her making her dad to automatically say a big fat NO to it. funny enough, this brought her dad to bring up the issue of guys. what's interesting is how Jongkook later 'reprimanded' his daughter for hugging or kissing guys/boyfriends freely (i'm sure he was referring to the Jiah-Hoo moments). he also taught her how to avoid being kissed by a guy. he even told her to slap the future boyfriend if he tried to kiss her providing his own cheek as a test subject. hrmm..i'm not sure how long she'll keep this promise. i can even imagine the pain and hardships her future boyfriend/husband has to go through to get Jiah.

meanwhile, Junsus' mom reminded Jonghyuk to brush Junsu's teeth before going to bed. actually, Jonghyuk was going to let his son off this time but since they got that warning letter from mom, they couldn't go against it. luckily, Junsu wasn't crying or whining this time.

and Juns' letter...aish this kid can really tug my heartstrings real hard. after reading his moms' letter which unlike the other kids moms who asked their husbands to either brush their child's teeth, wear their own clothes, or walk by themselves, Juns' mom only asked that they stay the way they are now- closer and warmer compared to when the show first started (or even before that). she also mentioned how she didn't mind when Dongil won't read storybooks to Jun or help wash his face and such, though it would be nice if he did. Lastly, when Jun reached the part where his mom said 'i love you' to both of them, he couldn't stand it and cried. he actually cried. because of one line from a letter. of course, being the soft-tissue-fluffy-hearted person i am, i teared up as well. seriously guys/gals...u just have to watch this part.

and that's that. i'm only mentioning a bit of the episode coz u ppl should really watch it. would not want to spoil everything. so if u adore kids, want to be entertained by innocent humour made by these naive, toothless, single digit-aged minors, and watch a massive display of affection by dads, then this program can fill in your hollow soul. here's the link for this ep:

Daddy..Where are We Going??

i think i just started something i shouldn't have. or rather, started watching something i shouldn't during these critical final semester of mine.
and it comes in the form of another korean variety show called Appa Oediga? or Dad Where Are We Going?

basically its about 5 normal korean kids with celebrity dads and they go out somewhere on an outing every weekend. something like family outing but among real family members - 5 dads and 5 kids on a mission at a different place every week.

its pretty funny and entertaining actually coz we all know how children are pure at heart and everything they say or do is pretty much legit. the show is mostly natural and lacks any scripts whatsoever (one of the kids can't even read yet and another one still has difficulty in reading).
like how its reaally sweet seeing Jiah giving her dad a bubu every 5.6 secs or how Hoo keeps complaining that he's hungry. Minguk who's really fragile at heart, Junsu who keeps questioning everything his dashing father says and finally there's chic Jun who totaaally looks like his dad (bad old guy from Chuno) but is a more mini cuter adorable mysterious handsome version. i think he's the only one that can say andwae! to Jiah's request.

i recognize most of the dads from dramas and shows but i can't remember their names. besides, its the kids that we should focus on. keuchi? =D

Kim Minguk is the eldest on the show. he's responsible and wise when he's around his dongsaengs. openly shows affection towards his dad. has good behaviour and a bit of a crybaby. (who isn't?)
then there's Yoon Hoo the plumpy kid. he's squishy, adorable. talkative, philosophical, interesting and funny. he's also weirdly smart- u need to watch the show to know. He loves eggs, kimchi, rice...basically food is his best friend. the efforts he shows to get a meal is no joke sistah! thanks to him i find every food to be suddenly tasty and must be eaten constantly.

Jiah is the only princess here. daddy's little girl. her ambition is to marry her dad. lol. pretty, lovable, smart, and its always entertaining to watch her reactions with her dad and her friends- especially Hoo whom she has created a loveline with. her dad tends to get jealous when she favours Hoo more. he is afterall, his daughter's dummy (one of the caption mentions babo appa. haha.)
Lee Junsu is among the younger kids. he smiles and laughs a lot but tends to get cranky when he's in a bad mood. he's a prankster this one..weirdly amusing, 4D, and adorable as fluff. it only takes 5 seconds for this kid to snore like a bear. oh, and his favourite word is waee??

and finally Jun who i think is really good looking and very well behaved for a kid. always listens to his strict dad but at times tends to rebel cutely. he starts off being awkward with his dad but as the show goes on, they begin to open up more to each other so its really endearing to watch this sweet progress. he's also normally silent on the shows but nevertheless entertaining as well. and did u know that his eyes can shoot lasers?

so yeah..basically i'm promoting this show to you. it's really the hype right now and their ratings have also increased rapidly. so to all of you who have assignments, thesis, homeworks to submit, we all know you're the type to procrastinate and prioritize fun and entertainment stuff more.

i'll give you a few examples why this show gives me diarrhea (from laughing too much):

Hoo in ep.7 after he's been praised for reading:
“How can King Sejong teach me the Korean alphabet when he’s already passed away?”
“Great people turn into stones. Just like King Sejong.”

Junsu in ep.8 when he wanted the rain to stop:
"Please God, make the rain stop. In return, I'll throw you this potato."

if u don't think that's hilarious then i doubt your existence on earth. so i'm gonna be a sweetheart and give you the link:

Another April 1st

this post has no meaning whatsoever. just thought i'd make one coz i noticed that last year i wrote about something insignificant on this very same date as well.

but then again, it may serve a purpose. thus, i shall tell the world today how i was fooled by life. how what i expected did not come true. how devastated i am right now with the current occurrences that is currently occurring.

to think that i went through all those hardships within a year and to then end up with nada coz of that last stage. of course, i myself saw it coming what with that asdfghjkl performance of mine.

shame on me. shame on you. shame on your cow.

naah...it's not that bad. yes i am sad but of course, everything happens for a reason right? right?? no? ok.
