ioi Palm Garden Hotel Review

HELOCONIA ROOM

Last Thaipusam holidays, I stayed at ioi Palm Garden Hotel after work. I won a 2 days 1 night stay during a Lucky Draw last month and decided to use it during the holidays. Yippee.

The review:

Reception & Staff: Sangat2 mesra, extremely welcoming. The hotel was quite 'old' so I didn't have much expectation at first - just planned to have a normal good stay and head back home. Upon entering, the staff would welcome you from 3 blocks away. Ok, that's a bit exaggerated, but what I'm trying to say is that they're supeer nice. 

5 stars.

Room: I got the Heliconia room. Two single beds. It was a joint room. 229 or 219? Forgot the number. The connecting door lock was quite loose. They need to fix that. They had all the basic stuff. I'm not sure how many stars this hotel has, but they got you covered in terms of towels, toiletries (soap, shampoo, moisturizing cream), hairdryer, iron and ironing board, torchlight, minibar, hangers, indoor slippers, There's also a bathtub, hanging clothes line that you can attach by yourself, sejadah, kiblat, security box.

4 stars because the tap water smelled too strongly of steel.

Breakfast: They gave free breakfast. RM25 for additional pax before 12am. RM40 if you pay up front at the cafe. Breakfast was OK. Had your typical Malaysian and Western food like Nasi Lemak, Mee Goreng, Mixed Veggies, Bread, Croissant, Dimsum, Yogurt, etc.

4.5 Stars because the pastries tasted...not yummy. =P

Upon checkout they would give you a form to fill in asking about your stay. If you have a staff you'd like to recommend you could also write it down in the form. There weren't any deposit fees. It was a nice stay. Recommended to families and middle income groups. Right nest to ioi Putrajaya Mall.

Resipi Kerabu Rumpai Laut (Sarang Burung Laut)

Ok...ni resipi untuk membuat kerabu rumpai laut. Jenis seaweed ni kalau direbus, akan jadi cecair. So ada orang buat sebagai masker, ada buat sebagai minuman kolagen. Untuk resipi ni, tak perlu guna dapur gas. Hanya perlu menyediakan:

1. Seaweed direndam semalaman (tak tau nama sebenar, so cakap je kat penjual nak yg boleh buat kolagen.)
2. Cili padi, Cili merah, Serbuk cili (lumatkan)
3. Carrot dan timun yg diracik halus.
4. Jus lemon
5. Udang kering yg direndam dan ditumbuk.
6. Bawang merah potong halus.
7. Garam
8. Gula
9. Black pepper

Takde sukatan. Korang just agak2 janji rasa sedap.
Campak-campak semua bahan.
Gaul-gaul.
Voila!!

Yeob Bay Hotel Review

Nak cari tempat ni memang kena guna Google Maps. Jauh terceruk gak tempat ni. Lalu kelapa sawit kanan kiri. Sebiji bangunan 3 tingkat tepi pantai. Tapi ada lah beberapa inn dan hotel along the way kat area ni juga.

Free breakfast.

Receptionist is VERY welcoming and helpful.
Ada lif, jgn risau.
Nak seterika baju, ada ruang menggosok tiap tingkat kat luar bilik. Cuma takde tempat nak gantung baju lepas gosok.
Dalam bilik ada towel, air mineral, arah kiblat, quran, shower gel and shampoo, hanger dan tempat gantung baju kt dinding.
Ada tv.


Katil agak keras.
Aircond lambat sket nak berfungsi. So kalau sampai tume tgh hari or petang, mmg panas.
Tapi malam dah sejuk so ok je.
Bilik agak kecil. Lebih kurang mcm bilik Tune Hotel.
No Wifi. (T_T)

Dahlah xde wifi, pastu line senduuuu. Jogging pantai jelahh.
Pintu takde peephole.

Boleh nampak sunrise dari bilik. Lagi cantik kalau tengok dari level 3.
Nak jalan2 tepi pantai dekat je. Kalau nak tengok sunset, jalan ke pantai keluar dari gate.

Masa datang, restoran tak bukak. Nasib baik bawak bekal siap2 untuk dinner.
Esoknya breakfast ada roti bakar, meehoon, nasi lemak, onde2 batu, karipap, cereal.

Kalau bosan nak tgk movie or minum stabaks, boleh pergi Aeon. Dlm 10-15 menit dari Yeob.

USS here we come!

Jika anda ke sini untuk baca tentang trip USS sahaja, sila skip ke Sabtu, 17 September 2016.

Dua tujuan utama datang ke Johor kali ni adalah:
1. Wedding member kat Felda Tenggaroh
2. US Singapore bebeh!

Teman kali ni adalah Syifak si penolong pengarah kanan.
Dahsyat gak research pasal trip ni. Yang cons-nya adalah public transport kat area Mersing kurang awesome. Asalnya nak bagi surprise kat kawan tu. Berminggu gak fikir nak turun mana dari KL.  

Terminal Mersing ke rumahnya (Felda Tenggaroh) ambil masa dalam 45+ minit.
Terminal Kota Tinggi ke rumahnya pulak ambil masa 50 minit. Last2 terpaksa tanya empunya diri...katanya suruh turun Simpang Tenggaroh. Dari situ 15 minit je ke rumah dia.

*Katanya if ambil bas ke Kota Tinggi pun boleh. Dari situ naik teksi atau bas tingtong ke Simpang Tenggaroh.

*If straight ke Terminal Mersing, itu adalah stop untuk orang2 yang nak ke Tioman.

Tapi sayaaang, pada hari kejadian..bas tak lalu Simpang tu. Dia guna jalan Muadzam.

Malangnya bas yang kami naik lalu Muadzam plak, so tak lalu Simpang Tenggaroh tu.

Nasib baik dari Terminal Mersing ada kawan last minit ikut join so tumpang dia sekali.
Nak sejam jugak lah dari Terminal Mersing sampai masuk dalam Felda Timur 1 tu.
Sampai rumah pengantin pukul 8pm.
Sempat tgk kawan tu nikah. Tahniah HennyNenny!!
Malam tu tumpang tidur akak ipar pengantin.

Pagi tu temankan pengantin berzanji. Masing2 muka blurr. Adehh...sekali kena tanya dengan makcik2 situ..

"Kamu tak raptai ke?"

Sebab fail gile part berzanji pengantin. Walaupun dia tanya pengantin tapi kami kanan kiri pun terasa sekali. Aku pun time tu dah serius giler muka. Kut2lah kena panggil tetibe.
Hasil DPA...kalau dah kena suruh, buat je.
Yang penting...konfiden!

Sebab pengantin bersanding agak lewat - pukul 3.00pm, jadi kami tak sempat nak join sampai habis. Dalam tengah hari tu amek teksi ke Terminal Kota Tinggi.

Felda Tenggaroh- Kota Tinggi RM50.00

Sampai Kota Tinggi 50 minit kemudian, dari sini ada banyaaak bas ke JB.

Tips: JB ada dua (2) terminal utama

1) JB Sentral - ni stop utk org2 yang nak ke Singapore biasanya. Dia macam airport ada stabaks, locker room, bagai. Kalau nak kill time pun ada Shopping Complex (City Square) ala2 Nu Sentral within walking distance.
2) Terminal Larkin - Ni stop kalau nak ke tempat2 (TBS, Butterworth, Melaka, dll)

Bas Kota Tinggi - JB Sentral RM4.80

Sampai di JB sejam kemudian, kitorang lepak2 jap. Facilites kat JB memang terbaik. JB ni lagi KL dari KL (get it?). Memang maju dan moden. So sebab tu kitorang konfiden ada Uber area ni. heee~

I-Leaf Hotel Review:
Betul2 bersebelahan dengan Tune Hotel. Normally kalau orang nak ke USS, agen memang akan suruh stay dekat2 kawasan ni. Satu jalan area ni ada beberapa hotel lain jugak tapi aku tengok rate i-leaf paling terbaik plus ada breakfst sekali.

Breakfast dia memang 2 jempol!! Sedap!
Bilik selesa cuma SANGAT bising waktu malam sebab dinding dia nipis sangat. Takde soundproof langsung.

Malam tu kitorang pergi berurut kaki dan badan kat Thai Imperial Massage.

Isnin, 18 September 2016

Pagi tu tapau breakfast sebab tak sempat makan situ. Makan dalam bas je. Pukul 7.50am dah gerak.

Kitorang amek pakej SyoknyaTravelUSS. Ni kawan kepada kawan yang rekemen. Dia kata bagus. Aku time tu pun tak sempat nak research pasal nak ke Singapore, so amek jelah pakej. Senang sikit. 

Tiket USS + Transport Return = RM220
Rate Singapore:

S$200 = rate 2.9 x 200

Sampai kat Terminal apa nama..kena turun untuk cop imigresen keluar dari Johor. Selang beberapa minit, turun untuk cop masuk ke Singapore. Sekejap je prosedur. Walllah! Dah masuk.

Mmg nicelah pemandangan kat Singapore ni. Bandar2 gitu. Sebab kanan kiri bangunan je, jadi bosan. So aku tidur smpailah tiba di USS.

Opening dia lambat sket. Pukul berapa aku lupa. Around 10am kut. Antara ride/show yang best dan memang perlu naik:

1. Transformers (pening sikit sebab ride banyak hentak2)
2. Mummy (ni bagi aku terbaik). Tapi maybe sebab ramai sangat naik so first time kitorng dtg rosak padahal dah beratur panjang dan tinggal berapa orang je depan kami. Beberapa jam kemudian datang balik sebab nak naik jugak.
3. Underwater World (sangat menarik! Jangan duduk depan sangat kalau tak basah kuyup. Ni korang kena peka dengan masa dia sebab ada slot masa tertentu.)
4. Rollercoaster (nampak best tapi aku tak naik sebab kecut. hahahh)
5. Banyak lagi best tapi tak sempat pergi semua sebab masa terhad dan asyik termiss slot diorng.

Banyak aku habis shopping sini.

Beli towel sampai 3 helai. Satu dalam S$25+/-

Pastu ada beberapa restoran Halal sini. Kitorng makan kat Friar's. Berapa total..lupa.

Bas datang amek pukul 7pm. Sebab along the way dia ambil orang2 yg dari Singapore ke JB, aku jadi konfius dan hampir sesat sebab ingat salah bas.

Overall, bestlah jugak datang sini. Datang dengan member sorang dua, tolong jana ekonomi negara orang lain. Lol.

10.00am - Bas dari JB ke Terminal Bersepadu Selatan.

Tips:

1. Surau USS ada kat belakang area roller coaster. Kecil tapi selesa. Pastikan anda sama2 jaga kebersihan surau ini.
2. Air paip nak ambil wudhu agak kecil. So..bersabar jelah ye. Pastu make sure bawak telekung travel atau socks sebab praying veil tak disediakan.
3. Toilet yang ada bidet/hose hanya di stall paling hujuuung. Ada satu je. Ni untuk females lah. Lelaki aku tak tau.
4. Time ni lupa nak bawak sunblock. So, agak sunburn time tu sbb lupa cuaca singapore sama je dgn malaysia. Adehh.
5. Have fun!

Next time I plan to go on a food hunting spree. =D

The masseuse were all friendly and welcoming.

The receptionists were NOT. Front desk staff were NOT friendly at all. Acuh tak acuh je layan kitorng. Siap sibuk mengunyah epal buat taktau. Taktaulah kalau sebab aku pakai seluar berbunga mcm ahjumma petik anggur kut..

My masseuse was called Ob from Chiangmai (they truly are Thais!). Comel je orgnya. Tapi kuat tangan dia.

Tempat urut ni tepi jalan. Sepanjang jalan ada workshop kereta. So kalau kena tunggu kawan mmg bosan lah. Ada LoL Cafe dgn satu kedai makan Melayu. Tapi kena lintas. Kereta plak mcm pele$#!@ memasing lajunya..

Jalan kaki depan sikit ada KCL mall. Kalau tak jumpa kat Waze Jalan Century...cari Jalan Abad. Hahah..penat kitorng pikir ingatkan salah jalan. Rupanya diorng pergi translate dlm apps tu.

Cara ke KLIA dari Banting

Bas kat Banting ada banyak. Dari terminal ni akan ada bas ke Putrajaya, Sungai Manggis, Kuala Lumpur, Klang, Morib, etc. So far aku selalu naik yang ke Putrajaya.

Interval dia biasanya 40-50 minit. Kalau terlepas satu bas, memang baik pergi mamak jap makan roti telur dgn milo ais lah jawabnya.

Kalau nak ke KLIA dari Banting ada 2 cara:

1. Banting ke Putrajaya RM4.50 --> Bas Putrajaya ke KLIA RMxxx (lupa). Tapi ni memang kena sabar menanti. Sempat basuh baju, jemur sampai kering pastu lipat kalau tunggu bas ni kadang2.

2. Banting ke Putrajaya RM4.50 --> ERL (KLIA Transit) ke KLIA Transit RM9.40.

Ice Fantasy - Ying KongShi Biased

Ep.6
Ying Kongshi explodes into a fireball and manages to escape his prison.

He goes haywire and accidently faints in front of the Fire Princess. She captures him (again) not knowing that he's actually Shi and turns him into her slave.

She's actually started to fall for him at this point of time.

Ka Suo is reunited with Shi who is currently the Fire Princess's slave.

Ep.9

Ying Kongshi is wounded by an arrow shot by the Dream Tribe soldiers. This enables him to wake up from the dream he was put in by Chief Dreamer.

.

KaSuo is still trapped inside the dream. In the dream he reunites with his parents, Shi, and LiLUo and they return to Ice Blade City. (LiLuo’s dress even has armours on her shoulders. Looks pretty.) KaSuo dances with LiLuo. He looks really handsome both in normal or Ice Prince appearance (have I mentioned the same for Shi =D).

LiLuo tries to save him by going into his dream. Unfortunately, she appears as Fire King to him. Shi tries to help from the real world by playing the Bamboo Flute. It somehow works as KaSuo could hear the song in his dream, but still couldn’t wholly wake him up.

Ep.10

KaSuo manages to free himself from the dream thanks to LiLuo and Shi’s help.

Ep.11

Shi smells burnt grilled fish for the first time. This memory will help in a later episode. KaSuo looks for LiLuo and finds her bathing in a pool. He’s really adorable in this scene. How he tries to shyly move away but gets pushed by the unicorn.  KaSuo is soo clumsy in front of LiLuo.  

Shi’s heart suddenly burns in pain. He runs off somewhere.

Shi attacks KaSuo. LiLuo hits his head and Shi faints. In order to save him, they leave Shi with the Fire Princess. They continue their journey and meet Eagle Guy and the Spirit Tribe.

.

Fire Princess gives Shi a 10 day antidote for the Heart-Burning poison.

Ep.12

Shi helps defeat the fake Bear King and instantly prevents the marriage of Yan Da to the Bear tribe. He still finds her noisy though. 

.

He then release the real Bear King using the fake king’s blood. Shi then releases the real Bear King. In exchange he asks for the Ice Crystal but the Bear King refuses to give it to him coz his ancestors promised to protect it for the Ice Tribe. Shi then tries to prove that he’s from the Ice Tribe but somehow..... the powers that come out is that of Fire! Shi’s confused.

Fire Prince captures him and tortures him for ruining his plan. 

Ep.13

Shi (Yun Fei) is saved by Yan Da and is brought back to Fire Princess’s tent. He coughs up blood. Yan Da ia saad. She transfers her energy to Shi then faints..Oh dear.

The scene between LiLuo and KaSuo is quite cute. KaSuo asks what do mortal men do when they like a mortal female. LiLuo says the men would normally give flowers and gifts. While the female would give a one-of-a-kind wine. This wine is fermented by the girl’s parents when their child is around 1 year old. So when the girl grows up, she will give the wine as present to the guy she likes. But since LiLuo is an orphan, she has no parents to ferment (plant) her wine. So KaSuo gives her an immortal wine bottle that could make the best wine when refilled.

Shi is taken care of by the Bear Tribe. He goes meet Yan Da who is imprisoned. Yan Da takes out the poison in him.

.

Shi knocks out the guard to save Yan Da. He is stopped by the Bear Prince. In order to escape, he is forced to use his ice powers so...now his identity his revealed. Yan Da is angry. They separate.

.

Shi uses the flute song to find KaSuo. They reunite. Me heart is meltsss. 

Ep.14

Both brothers try to find and save (silly) Mermaid Princess. Unfortunately, she was bitten by the Fire Snake and went beserk. She bit Yan Da and Shi. Actually, since YanDa was wearing armor, it didn't affect her. So when Leader of Healer Tribe said Mermaid Lan Shang's poison was cured because she drank the blood of a Fire Tribe, they thought it was YanDa's blood. But nope...(who is Shi exactly?) Jeng jeng jeng...

Ka Suo is trapped inside the Fire Globe of Despair. Ying Kongshi feels his brother's pain and desperately tries to find him. He manages to enter the Fire Globe and morphs into his Ice God appearance to save Ka Suo. More hints about his lineage because no mortal or God can enter or exit the Fire Globe as they wish.

Ep.15

KaSuo is deprived of his powers after entering the Fire Globe. The 6 Leaf Ice Crystal has been destroyed in the globe. Hence, the Ice Veil cannot be repaired.

Fire King asks Luan Ji whether Shi is his son or not. He’s suspicious because it’s impossible for an Ice tribe to enter the globe.

KaSuo sends Shi off to the mortal realm. But Shi actually tricked him. To protect his brother and their tribe, he has formed a well meticulous plan.

.

Chief Dreamer gathers all the realm leaders in a dream. They fight Shi to test his powers because they don’t believe him to be strong enough to lead their tribe in the war. Shi manages to beat all of them and persuades them to follow his lead.

.

KaSuo goes to the mortal realm to find the Mystical healer.

.

Shi meets the Mermaids to tell them of his plans.

.

KaSuo is faced with trouble in the mortal realm. LiLuo arrives to save the day. Yayy to kickass tough girl mortal Luo!

Ep.16

Li Luo saved KaSuo from the bandits.

.

Shi is seen practising his powers.

.

Shi is summoned back to the Snow Blade City by the Fire tribe. He meets his mother for the first time after a while. Dang..the touching moment was cut short by Flame King.

Shi goes into his room – Illusion Sky where he unexpectedly meets Yan Da who was obviously jealous seeing him with Mermaid Princess and questions him. He doesn’t answer and lets her whip him. Gaah..her jealousy is no different than a mortal girl.

Shi comforts Mermaid Princess who is feeling bitter because she had to play along with his plans to save KaSuo.

Ep.17

Shi's mother is surprised with his powers. He gets lectured by his mother for hiding his powers.

.

KaSuo finds out about Shi's trick and decides to return back to Ice Blade.

.

Flame decides to marry Mermaid for the Tear Drop Charm.

.

Luan Ji finds out about Shi's plan to assasinate the Fire KIng. He gets lectured again.

Ep.18

KaSuo insists on trying to take over the God Devouring Sword to save his brother and his city. To do so,  he must have ‘fear’ within him for the spirit sword to consume. Tuns out...his biggest fear is seeing Shi get killed by Flame (why am i not surprised =P).

.

Shi fails to kill Flame when he disguised himself as Mermaid Princess. His body is taken over by Flame and he attacks the other tribe leaders. A battle occurs between them.

.

KaSuo arrives just in time with the God Devouring Sword. But he’s still powerless.

The ownership of the sword is passed on to Shi. He attacks Flame and Flame gets severely injured. If not for Yan Da, Flame wouldv’e been killed. They go back to their City of Ashes.

.

Old Ice King and Queen are posessed by Flame. They are saved with the help of the sword that now contains Flame’s blood. Shi has helped soo much. Why can’t they learn to appreciate him??

Ep.19

Shi helps Ice King temporarily mend the Ice Veil. King is confused with Shi’s strong powers.

KaSuo now is not only powerless, but the spirit swords are now inside his body. He can’t control his body and almost accidently attacks the ice tribe children.Ughh..stupid mermaid suddenly interfering. 

.

Shi watches his pitiful brother from afar.

.

Old Ice King dissaproves of KaSuo’s love for LiLuo. He wants KaSuo to marry Mermaid Princess in order to get the Tear Drop Charm. This charm can enable the owner to find Snow Mountain and access the Hidden Lotus. One can only get the charm by sleeping with a virgin Mermaid (LoL).

Ep.21
Ying Kongshi requests to be king. Then gets rejected.
The (handsome) saints gather with the old king and insist Shi to not become king.

.
KaSuo suddenly attacks LiLuo when he smells LuanJi's blood who intentionally injures herself. Then we see Shi getting mad at his mother for doing that to KaSuo.
.
.
There's also a Shi-KaSuo interaction nearing the end. Shi is sooo beautifully cute!

Ep.22
We can see Shi putting his powers into action. He successfully managed to contain the Holy Fire.

.
His ice nucleus exploded when he used his blood to nurture it (more hints about his lineage).
He confronts his mother about this.

Ep.27
Day of the final competition for the throne.
Ying KongShi sees his brother worrying. His heart is in pain. Ka Suo notices him. Shi walks away.

.
.
Flashback when Shi was younger. He couldn't use Ice Tribe magic. KaSuo comforts him and they have a touching brotherly conversation that brings back to present day battle-for-the-throne.

.
Shi peeks at Ka Suo taking care of Mermaid Lan Shang. Shi feels sorry now because that Mermaid Lan Shang can't sing anymore, so his brother's burden and worries increases.

Round 1: between Bear King (supports Shi) & Eagle Spirit (supports KaSuo)
Round 2: Spirit Princess & Mermaid (didn't see this one coming)
Round 3: Healer Li vs Healer Tribe Leader (Compassion round)
Round 4: Shi & Kasuo to battle each other!! 😍😍😍

Ep.28
Initially KaSuo didn't want to be the Ice King. But when he found out what would happen to Shi if he refused, he decided to hurt himself to protect his brother (bloody daym Seven Saints). So he changed his mind to become King.

Meanwhile, Shi's hope to become Ice King is not because of greed. He wanted to help free his brother from the burden of royalty, so he was willing to go against him.

Flashbacks of when Shi was younger.
Ahh...Shi on that swing is soo magnificently beautiful.

Ep.29
Starts of with KaSuo meeting with Shi on the swing they used to play when they were young. KaSuo intentionally hurts Shi with his words.
Shi uses his power on his brother. He threatens to kill KaSuo. Stops. Walks away. Ughh..Shi's just so mesmerizing in his Ice appearance.

They battle the final round with each other under the cherry blossom tree.
.
.
KaSuo takes out a vial of blood. He tries to lure out the sword spirits. He stabs himself. Shi doesn't understand why he did that.

.
Shi asks his mother how he can retrieve back his brother's powers. The only way is...by killing another immortal.

.
Bloody Seven Saints tries to kill Ying Kongshi. Wtheckk??? How dare youuuu.. But does Xuan Ta got to be so cute as well?

Shi understands why his brother tried to defeat him. He feels sorry he had ever doubted KaSuo.
Yayyy! We get to see Shi use his powers! 😍

Oh no! Shi is possessed by the black mist.

Ep30
What's going on??? Shi's left eye... has changed colour!
Gaahh..he still looks devilishly cute with that eye patch.
KaSuo is still unconscious.

KaSuo wakes up. He loses his memories. But still remembers Li Luo (awww..)

The saddest episode of them all..

After planning so thoroughly and for so long.. Ying Kongshi kills himself with the God Devouring Sword so that he can transfer his powers to Ka Suo. He explains everything through dreams with the help of the Dream Tribe leaders.

Gahhd.. I cried during this death scene. 😢

Ying Kongshi is not dead (entirely). Yay! He becomes a sword fairy and helps Ka Suo throughout his battles.

The Hidden Lotus’s motto is:

That’s why, even though Kasuo managed to revive KongShi, Mermaid Princess and LingLuo, they didn’t exactly come back in one piece. Mermaid Lanshang and LingLuo switched souls, while Shi lost his memory and thinking that his brother killed his brother and him. So he’s out for revenge.

Wuttt..why is everyone dying like flies ‘eree??... Fire King fights everyone and wins. Gerddamit.

Yanda makes a ‘pact’ with her ancestors.
